Costs:
Fort McMurray Christian School is recognized by the Province of Alberta as an Alternative School and receives no funding for the Christian aspect/development of our program's operating costs or for future capital expansion expenses. The small school size also adds to the financial burdens of overhead costs.
To meet the school’s financial obligation, monthly program fees are required as follows:

* Fees increase 15% if student(s) are registered after September 30. This is because the school receives no government funding if the student is registered after this date. Add an additional $100 to your monthly rate if you do not want to participate in fundraising activities. This increased rate is called our Enhanced Fee Option. Make cheques payable to: Fort McMurray Christian School Society (FMCSS). Please date the cheques for the first of each month beginning September 1 and ending June 1. A cash payment at the first of each month is also acceptable. Speak to the Treasurer to arrange a payment schedule. Each paying member may be eligible for an income tax receipt. Kindergarten Monthly Fees (CDN) There is no monthly fee for students in ECDP, just a yearly supply fee of $65.00 per child in ECDP or Kindergarten. This gives families an opportunity to experience Fort McMurray Christian School as well as organize their finances in preparation for program fees beginning in grade one. However, gifts to the school are greatly appreciated.
Registration Fee The registration fee is $50 per family due upon registration. This fee is non-refundable. There is no registration fee for returning students.
Society Membership Fee There is also a yearly $100 fee for membership in the Fort McMurray Christian School Society, which is due along with the Annual Society Membership Application Form with the first program fee payment. Please read our Vision document. Your family will be asked to sign your support of it.

Volunteer One of the strengths of Fort McMurray Christian School is a willingness from members to become involved in a variety of organizational and operational aspects of the school. We would like all parents to be visible and willing to help with the organization and operation of the school. We ask our parents to fill out and include the Beyond Tuition form with their application. This form helps us to find out what ways parents are willing to serve the school.
