SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING

The next meeting will take place at the school this Thursday Feb. 2 staring at 7 pm. All parents are encouraged to attend.

 

RECYCLING SATURDAY

Mr. Champion has set this Saturday Feb. 4 to sort the recyclables that have been collected at his place, 175 Peterson Lane, from 10 -12 pm. Parents please come out to help; many hands make for light work.

BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

This weekend Fri. Feb. 3 and Sat. Feb. 4 the Gr. 4-6 boys and girls basketball teams will be representing FMCS at Westview School. Please come out and cheer them on! I will send the game times when they are finalized in the next couple of days.

SKIING/SNOWBOARDING: Grades 4-8

Skiing/snowboarding is scheduled for this Thursday, February 2, (weather permitting). Gr. 4-8 students appropriately for the day. Bus leaves for the hill at 9 am.

 

MOTHERS WHO CARE

 

is a group of mothers who will meet once a week at the school (Wednesday mornings at 9am-10am) for the same purpose ... to bring any needs that arise through the school to God in prayer. HOT LUNCH (Grades 1-8)

Tuesday: Cheese Pizza $2.00/slice

Wednesday: Hot Dogs $1.00 each, Carrot Sticks and Ranch Dip $1.50

Thursday: Subway Turkey on WW. $3.00- 4" and $3.50 for the 6"

Milk, water or juice boxes available on hot lunch days for .50 each

NEW: FMCS Logoed school clothing now available

We have set up a new account with a company “Your School Gear” You can now order FMCS clothing for adults and kids. This has a 10% profit for the school. The website is user friendly and you can order sizes, colors and choose the logo design of your choice. Pay with a Credit Card and it will be shipped to your home. I have also placed a link on the school’s homepage www.fortmcmurraychristianschool.ca that will take you to their website.

VOLUNTEERS

Public School policy requires a police check for all volunteers that come into the school. Though a bit of running around to get it completed we really have to put safety first in the school. There is no charge, all you have to do is come in and get a letter and the forms from the office, then drop off the completed papers at the RCMP office.
